Waiheke Island

We bought some tickets at a small shop
in the harbor, just $30pp. The boat trip was beautiful
andimg_2260 took 40 minutes, and I definitely recommend going to Waiheke Island if the weather is good. The Island is pretty big and there are many things to do and to see, so do not underestimate it if you’re going to visit the Island. And yes, we did underestimate the size of the Island. You can rent a bike or you can use taxi’s. My sister and I did a hike, which started literally at the right side if you’re going off the pier. The full hike would take
around 8 hours, we hiked for a couple and took a side
track to a vineyard. Make sure you grab a map of the
Island so you can see the hiking track. It has some
beautiful spots, and you can even see the city from Waiheke Island.

And what you definitely should do is a
wine tasting. img_2288The Island is pretty famous because of their wine yards, you will find around 30 over the whole Island. We did one at Cable Bay Vineyards, we
tasted 5 types of wine for just $10pp. Personally, I prefer to drink red wines, the white vines were blegghh. haha my sister liked them way better than I did.
